Does anyone have experience using Coleman camping stoves, the 2 - 3 burner 'family' type? Is it messy/smelly using the dual-fuel system (e.g. unleaded petrol), compared to butane gas cylinders? is the Coleman type hotter? Quicker to cook? Reliable? More economical? Cheers!

I am having a recreational design class, and I choose to design camping stoves, but I am not too familiar with what people really want and what they think is needed for a camping stove to be. First time camper. I bought a camping stove and I can buy a propane bottle that I can screw to the adaptor on the stove. Because the adaptor with the bottle stick out, I wanted to find out if it is safe to unscrew the bottle with propane in it from the stove prior to travel. I wanted to make sure I didn't do something to result in a leak. Thanks

im in australia victoria and im looking to leave technology for a while, but all the parks i see say i have to lug around a gas stove to make a fire. i mean whats the difference is it because the flame is off the ground that its suppose to be ok? i just think techonolgy has gone to far and im looking to get out for a while and i cant even do that with all these silly laws i have to worry about, it sucks
